Iana Uvarova is the founder of Trained for Life™, a system that applies surgical precision to canine behavior.
With a background in medicine, she approaches training with the discipline of science: data, peer-reviewed research, and performance under pressure. No folklore, no obedience clichés — only structure that delivers results.
Although she works with a wide range of breeds in her residencies, her expertise is in small dogs — where precision is non-negotiable and handling requires methods few trainers understand. Historically, small dogs have been considered “unworthy of training” by professionals and too difficult by their owners. The result is predictable: tolerated chaos in public, confinement in private homes, or rehoming when the lifestyle mismatch becomes unmanageable.
Today, small dogs have exploded in popularity. Owners select them for their looks — which is understandable — but overlook the instincts and needs that still drive the breed. Without training, these dogs are denied the freedom they deserve, while their owners are denied the lifestyle they envisioned. Instead of integration, the dogs are locked away at home.
Trained for Life™ rejects that compromise. By applying structured systems and four-channel communication to small breeds, Iana created the only program worldwide that integrates them fully into luxury lifestyles. This is where Trained for Life™ became singular.
Her method was forged out of necessity. Training systems were stress-tested at sea, where constant movement left no margin for error — structure had to be absolute. What began as survival became proof: when structure is exact, freedom expands.
Trained for Life™ is the evolution of that proof — a private, application-only program where dogs are not taught tricks but conditioned to live seamlessly inside human lifestyles. The Precision Leash™ and Invisible Leash™ protocols, combined with language across four channels — voice, hand, leash, and remote — form the backbone of the system.
Iana’s development included direct study under Garrett Wing (American Standard Dog Training), certification through the NePoPo® Silver School under Bart and Michael Bellon, and advanced coaching with STSK9. Combined with her foundation in medicine, these experiences grounded her system in both science and high-performance results.
This knowledge was first shared publicly on her YouTube channel, where she broke down balanced training and dog science into precise, accessible insights. That work became the early blueprint for what evolved into Trained for Life™.
