Revival M•06 — Curated Companion™ Revival Edition

Description

This male Chihuahua was born on 5 April 2025. He is the largest of the Revival group, with a silky coat, tall ears with small tufts, and a strange, unforgettable nose — pink on the outside and dark inside the nostrils, giving him a look halfway between a tiny deer and a tiny pig. He is striking in a way you only notice twice: the first time you see him, and the second time, when you realise he looks like no other dog you’ve met.

His story began differently from the others. He was shipped in a large crate with another dog — a smaller one — who spent the entire trip growling at him, blocking the exit, and biting at him whenever he shifted. He sat in the back corner, trapped, unable to leave, with no defence other than stillness. When the crate door opened, he tried to get out, but the other dog blocked him. His escape attempts weren’t bravery — they were desperation.

Once freed, he bolted. Not toward anyone — just away. Away from hands, away from pressure, away from anything that looked like a choice. In the playpen he did not collapse like some of the others. He sat upright, frozen in avoidance, turning his head away from food, from water, from every offering. It wasn’t shutdown — it was pure flight instinct held in place by walls.

Touch was almost impossible. A hand entering the space made him jump back, eyes wide, breath held. During grooming intake he fought contact, terrified and disoriented, and when pushed into submission he tried to bite — not with malice, but with the final instinct of an animal who has no other strategy left.

He turns away from food, though on the third day he finally licked a small amount from the hand — unsure, but real. He does not howl or scream; his fear lives in motion, not sound. Movement is his language. Avoidance is his shield.

And yet, underneath the fear, there is something unmistakably alive. A wild, unused dog — not shut down, not collapsed, but simply unstarted. A creature who never learned humans existed, now being taught the concept from scratch.

Revival Story

This dog is one of seven Chihuahuas in the Curated Companion™ Revival Edition. All under one year old.

They were not raised as pets. They received no handling, no socialization, no exposure, and no preparation for real life. They lived in breeder kennels with zero human processing and zero environmental learning.

Once the early sale window closed and new litters came in, these dogs were simply left in cages — untouched, untrained, and completely unprepared for normal daily living.

No structure. No learning. No contact. Just confinement.

Trained for Life™ removed them from that static existence and placed them into a structured system designed to give them a functional starting point for an actual home.

Temperament & Behaviour

Intake reality:

  • Shipped in a crate with a smaller dog who growled at him and physically blocked the exit
  • Repeatedly attempted to escape the crate but was prevented by the other dog
  • Bolted once removed from the crate — extreme flight response
  • Total avoidance when placed in playpen; turns head away from all interaction
  • Jumps away from any approaching hand; cannot tolerate touch
  • Severe fear during grooming intake; attempted bite during forced handling
  • Refuses water; refuses food except for one brief lick on Day 3
  • Fear expressed as flight and avoidance, not shutdown or vocalisation

Early training observations:

  • Slow improvement with pressure-release; beginning to understand handler guidance
  • Now capable of being taken for short walks under structured pressure
  • Still extreme avoidance at close-range touch
  • Food interest emerging but inconsistent

Ongoing monitoring:

  • Food and water acceptance
  • Touch tolerance and recovery after stress
  • Approach behaviour and ability to choose proximity
  • Response to environmental exposure
  • Handling safety and stability
  • Vocalisation and stress behaviours in confinement

Training — Revival Program Foundations

Revival dogs complete foundational training within the Trained for Life™ system. This program is not about formal obedience; it is about functional integration from zero.

  • Precision Leash™ groundwork from a blank starting point
  • Early exposure to the Invisible Leash™ concept
  • Playpen structure for clean, predictable confinement
  • Designated indoor potty routine
  • Handling tolerance work (touch and movement in controlled steps)
  • Grooming exposure (touch, basic tools, controlled restraint)
  • Interrupting unwanted behaviours and redirecting into structure
  • Environmental training introduced in controlled increments
  • Safe carrying protocols specific to small-breed handling

He progresses at his own pace. All updates are based on what actually happens, not on targets or promises.
